Pupil Premium @ Urchfont
Pupil Premium is additional finding given by the Government to schools in England to raise the attainment of specific groups of children (disadvantaged pupils) that fall into the following categories:
- Pupils who are entitled to Free School Meals due to qualifying benefits (https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/schools-learning-free-school-meals)
- Pupils who have a parent in the armed services
- Pupils that are, or have been, looked after by the Local Authority or are adopted
Our approach aligns with the EEF's 3-tiered approach, which allocates spending across the following areas:
- Developing high-quality teaching, for example through professional development and recruitment and retention.
- Providing targeted academic support, such as one-to-one or small group tuition
- Tackling non-academic barriers to academic success, such as difficulties with attendance, behaviour and social and emotional wellbeing
Please contact the school if you feel that you may qualify for Pupil Premium.
